Opera Mundus APS ETS
Opera Mundus – Vox Futuri is an international singing competition held in Padova that aims to value the talent of new generations of opera singers. The competition is divided into two categories: Under 26 and Under 40. It offers a platform for meeting industry professionals and gaining visibility through a final concert. The event is supported by various institutions including the Ministry of Culture and the European Parliament, and collaborates with numerous international opera houses and academies to provide career-starting opportunities.
Prizes include €1,500 for 1st place, €1,000 for 2nd place, and €500 for 3rd place. Additional offers include €3,000 tuition credits for Berlin and Saluzzo Opera Academies, specific scholarships for singers Under 26, performance roles in productions like Tosca, masterclass discounts, and direct access to various international competition finals.
The competition is open to opera singers in two age categories: Under 26 and Under 40. Candidates must submit two videos of good audio/video quality no older than 2 years and prepare a repertoire of 4 arias in their original languages (at least 2 in Italian).
Applications must be submitted online through the registration form. Applicants need to provide personal data, identification documents, two high-quality video links (YouTube/Vimeo), and a list of four arias. A membership fee (30 EUR for Under 26, 50 EUR for Under 40) must be paid via bank transfer or PayPal, with the receipt uploaded to the application form.
