About the Open Call

Blue Koi Gallery invites artists and photographers to submit their best work to our Open Theme Art Competition. Where creativity has no limits. All mediums, styles, and subjects are welcome. Whether bold, subtle, abstract, or representational, this is your space to showcase the art that defines you. From your boldest statement to your quietest reflection, let the world see what only you can create. Unleash your creativity! All winners will be featured in the Blue Koi Online Art Exhibition alongside some of the world’s best contemporary artists. At Blue Koi Gallery, every submission is reviewed anonymously by an independent panel of art professionals from around the world. Each competition brings a fresh set of jurors, ensuring a fair and diverse selection process. Final selections are thoughtfully made from the jury-approved pool, focusing on creativity, skill, and originality. We are committed to providing artists with a transparent and respectful experience.

What is Offered

Win $500 worth of prizes and Cash Award, promotion on social media channels, newsletter to galleries & art lovers, and a Certificate of Achievement. First Prize receives $150 Cash, exhibition, social media promotion, newsletter feature, and Certificate. Second & Third Prize receive an Artist Profile Page, exhibition, social media promotion, and Certificate. Finalists receive social media promotion, exhibition, and Certificate. All winners receive permanent display on the platform and are featured in the Blue Koi Online Art Exhibition.

Requirements

Open to all artists worldwide, 18 years or older. All backgrounds, skill levels, and styles are welcome. All visual media are accepted including painting, mixed media, photography, digital art, and sculpture. Submissions must be original works created by the artist.

How to Apply

Artists are invited to apply through the online form provided on the competition page. Submissions must adhere to image requirements: Max 2 MB, jpg, jpeg, png format, professional presentation without mockups, frames or watermarks. File names should be formatted as 'Artist Name – Title of Art.jpg'. High-resolution images (Maximum 2000px on the longest side) are preferred, in JPEG or PNG format only, with no watermarks or signatures, and professional lighting and neutral background. An entry fee of $20 for 2 works applies, with $6 for each additional.
