About the Open Call

Studio Light Moves: Open Futures 2026 invites collaborative submissions from pairs consisting of one dance artist and one digital artist to engage in a mentored residency. The program focuses on explorations between dance and digital media practices such as video mapping, real-time image capture, motion sensing, and interactive sound. Three selected pairs will participate in a two-week residency in Limerick, including a Creative Lab for expert exchange and a public sharing of work.

What is Offered

Total €3,600 financial support per pair (€750 per week per person plus €300 per person for preparation), studio space, technical equipment access, participation in a Creative Lab, accommodation in Limerick, and travel cost support (up to €50 national/€250 international).

Requirements

Applicants must apply as a collaborating pair consisting of one dance artist and one media/technology artist. Participants must be available for the in-person residency periods in Limerick from May 18 to May 29, 2026.
