About the Open Call

ZONE 5 is a collective artist book project that explores dialogues emerging when images from different contexts act together. The call is open to all visual arts printable in a book, including photography, painting, illustration, sculpture, and film stills. Selection is based solely on the quality and fit of the images within the flow of the book, rather than the artist's previous accomplishments. The project is a one-person initiative focused on championing emerging and lesser-known artists.

What is Offered

Selected artists will be published in a high-quality offset printed collective book and featured on social media. Selected artists can purchase copies of the book at 50% off.

Requirements

Submissions must be printable in a book format. Digital files must follow mandatory naming and size specifications (max 2MB per image). High-resolution files will be requested if the work is selected.

How to Apply

To apply, pay the submission fee of €10 at the top of the opportunity page or pre-order the book at a discounted price. Upon payment, you will be redirected to an upload page. Files must be named 'First name_Last name_Number.jpg' (e.g., Diane_Arbus_01.jpg), be no larger than 2MB each, and you may submit up to 10 images.
