About the Open Call

push/FOLD is holding an open call for professional-level dancers, ages 22 and older, for paid, ongoing contracts starting in August 2026. The opportunity involves a workshop-style class and audition process to introduce the company's Visceral Movement Theory™ and assess dancers' capabilities. Physical attendance at the workshop and audition is necessary. Auditions will take place in New York, NY on January 13, 2026, at New York City Center (Studio #4), and in Portland, OR on January 18, 2026, at Classical Ballet Academy. Dancers should expect high to low-level movement, floorwork, and partnering. Eligibility requires advanced to professional-level training, legal ability to work in the United States, and commitment to the rehearsal schedule. The selected dancers will be invited to attend 3-6 rehearsals in Spring 2025 (compensated) before final determination. Contract details include 3-6 productions per year, community engagement in the Pacific Northwest, competitive performance pay ($150-$300/performance), daily tour rates, travel, housing, per diem, and rehearsal compensation (minimum $25 stipend per rehearsal). Rehearsals are approximately 12 hours per week at Columbia Dance Center in Vancouver, WA. Additional paid opportunities for non-dance work are also available. Bring clothing that covers legs and shoulders, snacks & water, resumé & headshot (if auditioning).
