AIR InSILo
The 2026 residency, 'Unfolding the Place. Placing the Folds,' is a two-stage open call focused on artistic research and the process of mapping relationships between ground, archive, and imagination. The residency is a space for developing ideas rather than production. The curator will accompany participants through dialogue and mentorship. Applicants can choose to apply anonymously as part of an experimental tool against bias.
2-month residence, honorarium up to 3400 Euros, material costs coverage up to 600 Euros, travel coverage up to 400 Euros, transport costs up to 280 Euros, facility usage, 5 mentoring sessions, and publication in InSILo Magazine.
Open to artists with site-specific, process-based, or research-oriented practices. Students currently enrolled in undergraduate or graduate programs (except PhD) are not eligible. Selected artists must spend at least 80% of the time in the residency. Working language is English.
Apply via the online form on the program website by submitting an email (which can be anonymised), an anonymised portfolio in PDF format (max 10MB), and a motivation letter of 0.5 to 1 A4 page.
