About the Open Call

Dacia Gallery has a year-round open submission policy for monthly exhibitions, accepting artwork from emerging and established artists across all media including painting, drawing, printmaking, sculpture, photography, digital art, and mixed media. Submissions are reviewed by a curatorial panel and kept on file for upcoming exhibitions. The gallery does not charge an exhibition fee to artists to show their work. This specific call invites artists to submit artwork for the upcoming 15-Year Anniversary Group Exhibition. This mixed group show will feature recent work by contemporary artists, exhibiting what they are working on today. Selected artists will receive advertising and promotion for the exhibitions, and the gallery will host a formal Opening Reception, including an Artist Talk. The opportunity aims to discover compelling work and present it to the public, gallery directors, curators, and collectors in New York City.

Requirements

This open call is for all visual artists, national and international. Accepted artwork includes painting, drawing, printmaking, sculpture, photography, digital art, mixed media, site-specific installations, and illustration. Artists may submit up to 10 images. A curation fee of $45.00 applies. Dacia Gallery charges a 50% commission on all artwork sold during exhibitions.

How to Apply

To submit, artists must provide an artist bio (referencing website examples) and an artwork list including title, medium, dimensions, and retail price for each artwork. The bio and artwork list must include the artist's name, address, email, and phone number. Artists may submit up to 10 images for a curation fee of $45.00. Image files must be saved and labeled as: Title, name, medium, dimensions, and retail price (e.g., Untitled, Olivia Smith, Oil on Canvas, 20x30, $100).
