About the Open Call
This residency invites participants to explore the museum’s photo collection — from 19th-century glass negatives to contemporary digital images — through a critical, research-based, interdisciplinary approach rooted in visual anthropology. The programme culminates in a jointly created exhibition in ERM’s temporary exhibition hall (742 sqm), scheduled to be open from 25 November 2026 to 4 July 2027. Residents will engage in ongoing collaboration, workshops, and feedback sessions while investigating how photographs function as cultural artefacts and infrastructures of memory.
