About the Open Call

Für das Experimance Festival 2026 sind wir auf der Suche nach künstlerischen Positionen aus den Bereichen Klangkunst. Eine Bewerbung ist als Solokünstler*in und/oder als Gruppe möglich. Wir bitten euch, den Ausschreibungstext aufmerksam zu lesen. 1. AUSSTELLUNG KLANGKUNST IM ÖFFENTLICHEN RAUM Künstler*innen / Gruppen aus dem Bereich Installative Klangkunst und Klangobjekt. Das Kunstwerk wird im öffentlichen Raum am Kulturgut Ost ausgestellt. Faktoren wie Witterung und Schutz gegen Diebstahl müssen mitbedacht werden. Bitte keine visuellen Kunstwerke mit Projektionen/Mapping einsenden. RAUMGREIFENDE KLANGINSTALLATION / RAUMINSTRUMENT / OBJEKT & PERFORMANCE Ein Floor im Kulturgut Ost soll mit einer raumgreifenden Installation oder einem großen selbstgebauten Instrument bespielt werden. Die Installation soll zu den Festivalöffnungszeiten geöffnet sein. Zusätzlich soll über die Dauer des Festivals soll es immer wieder Performances an der Installation bzw. mit den ausgestellten Objekten geben. (ca. 6 – 8 Performances / Demonstrationen der Klangerzeuger) Projekt aus dem letzten Jahr Ausstellungsaufbau: 5. – 7. Mai 2026 Ausstellungsdauer: 8. – 10. Mai 2026 Ausstellungsabbau: 11. Mai 2026 2. KONZERT & PERFORMANCE Künstler*innen und Gruppen, die im Bereich Klangkunst performen. Der Fokus liegt auf selbstgebauten Instrumenten und ungewöhnlichen Klangerzeugern. Bitte keine Jazz-Einreichungen. 3. WORKSHOP & LECTURE Interaktive Workshops oder pädagogische Vorträge über Klangkunst und experimentelle Musik. 4. LIVE-SET Experimentelle elektronische Musik und Live-Performances für die Clubnacht. Bitte keine DJ-Sets WEITERE INFORMATIONEN Es werden finanzielle Aufwandsentschädigungen in Form von Honoraren gezahlt. Ein genauer Betrag kann leider erst kommendes Jahr kommuniziert werden. Eine Übernahme der Reise- und Transportkosten ist bis zu einem Betrag von 150 € möglich. Eine Unterkunft wird durch das Festival organisiert und gestellt. For the Experimance Festival 2026 we are looking for artistic contributions in the field of sound art. Applications are welcome from both solo artists and groups. We kindly ask you to read the call carefully before applying. 1. EXHIBITION SOUND ART IN PUBLIC SPACE Artists / groups working with sound installations and sound objects. The artwork will be presented outdoors at Kulturgut Ost. Please take into account weather conditions and protection against theft. Visual artworks involving projections/mapping cannot be considered. LARGE-SCALE SOUND INSTALLATION / SPACE INSTRUMENT / OBJECT & PERFORMANCE One floor of Kulturgut Ost will host a large-scale installation or a custom-built instrument. The installation should be accessible during the festival’s opening hours. In addition, there should be recurring performances throughout the festival with the installation and/or exhibited objects (approx. 6–8 performances or demonstrations). Example: project from last year. Installation setup: May 5–7, 2026 Exhibition dates: May 8–10, 2026 Dismantling: May 11, 2026 2. CONCERT & PERFORMANCE Artists and groups performing in the field of sound art. The focus is on self-built instruments and unconventional sound sources. Please note: jazz submissions cannot be considered. 3. WORKSHOP & LECTURE Interactive workshops or educational talks on sound art and experimental music. 4. LIVE-SET Experimental electronic music and live performances for the club night. Please note: DJ sets cannot be considered. FURTHER INFORMATION Artists will receive financial compensation in the form of fees. The exact amounts can only be announced next year. Travel and transport costs can be reimbursed up to 150 €. Accommodation will be provided by the festival. What is Offered

Requirements

Artists/groups working with sound installations and sound objects. For public space installations, consider weather conditions and protection against theft; no visual artworks with projections/mapping. For large-scale installations, provide recurring performances (approx. 6–8). For concerts/performances, focus on self-built instruments and unconventional sound sources; no jazz submissions. For live sets, experimental electronic music and live performances; no DJ sets.
