Hive Curates and Camden Council
After the inaugural Light Up Kilburn 2024, Light Up Kilburn returns for its second edition, transforming Kilburn Grange Park into a radiant celebration of light, creativity, and community. The themes for this year will focus on biodiversity and women's safety. Hive Curates and Camden Council invites artists, designers and architects working with outdoor light installations to submit existing artworks for Light Up Kilburn 2026. Applicants are encouraged to respond to the festival’s themes of biodiversity and women’s night-time safety, both with the aim of uniting communities. On Friday 27th and Saturday 28th of February, Light Up Kilburn 2026 will illuminate Kilburn Grange Park during some of the darkest winter nights, transforming it into a captivating immersive experience of light. We are looking for pre-existing artworks that match the above themes, are available, are high quality and artistically innovative, and are suitable for an outdoor setting. Festival Dates: Friday 27th - Saturday 28th February 2026. Location: Kilburn Grange Park (a 3.2 hectares open space in Kilburn, North-West London, adjacent to Kilburn High Road).
Artist Fee: £2,500 (plus VAT). The fee must include hire fees, transport, install and de-install. Selected artists must be available on the festival dates and are responsible for install on Thursday 26th and de-install on Saturday 28th (after 9pm) and/or Sunday 1st March.
