About the Open Call

BABEL is an artist-run exhibition space for contemporary art in Trondheim. This open call applies to exhibitions taking place in 2027 and 2028. Artists may apply with solo or group exhibitions, fully developed projects or more open exhibition ideas. Curatorial projects are also welcome. Applications are assessed primarily on the basis of submitted visual material.

What is Offered

Exhibition fee (currently NOK 12,000), transportation allowance (NOK 3,000 for those outside Trøndelag), access to workshops, and professional exhibition support.

Requirements

The open call is intended for professional visual artists and craft artists at all stages of their careers. Portfolio of visual material is primary requirement.
