Artificial Lines of Flight is an upcoming exhibition probing the political force of uncertainty, absurdity, and algorithmic aesthetics in a time marked by desperation and indifference. It takes inspiration from Deleuze and Guattari’s concept of 'ligne de fuite' – a line of flight, transformation, rupture from systems of power, structure, and sense. The exhibition considers how AI and algorithmic creativity can enact such a line of flight: not only by generating uncanny, absurd, or surprising surfaces, but by unsettling the norms of authorship, aesthetics, and intention. This is not merely an exploration of machine creativity, but a call to consider what emerges when collaboration with machines embraces uncertainty as a condition for political potential.
Artists working with AI, algorithms, or computational processes are invited to submit proposals.
