Open Doors Gallery
Open Doors Gallery invites submissions for the fifth edition of the OD Photo Prize, extending its mission to discover and mentor early-career artists across contemporary photography. The prize is designed to foster lasting relationships with photographic artists globally. Shortlisted artists will participate in a group exhibition at Open Doors Gallery in London, where the winner will be announced. A curated selection of works will be exhibited and sold both online and at the show. Finalists are eligible for various awards selected by industry experts, including Judges’ Picks, the InCadaqués Award (exhibition opportunity in Spain), the Public Choice Award, the Metro Mentorship Award, and the Lürzer's Archive Profile+ Award.
Grand Prize: £2,000 (including £1500 cash prize supported by Open Doors Gallery and £500 print credit supported by Metro Imaging), an exclusive interview on the 1000Words Magazine website, long-term mentorship through Open Doors Gallery, listing on the OD Artist page & Artsy platform for at least one year, and exhibition in London. Two Runners-Up receive long-term mentorship, listing on OD Artist page & Artsy, and exhibition in London. Additional awards include the Metro Mentorship Award, Juror's Choice Awards, InCadaques Award (exhibition opportunity in Spain), AJ Page Award (People's Choice), and Lürzer's Archive Profile+ Award (complimentary Profile+ listing). Shortlisted artists will have their work produced for a group exhibition in London (Nov–Dec 2025), online exposure, exhibition exposure to professionals and media, inclusion in gallery announcements and newsletters, project review by industry experts, and work shared with 100,000+ social media following.
Artists must be working within the first ten years of their practice. Submissions must be photographic or lens-based, but can incorporate other art forms such as performance, collage, painting, sculpture, music, or literature. Each submission must be in project form and include between 6 to 15 images.
