National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts
The National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts (NTMoFA) announces an open call for the International Residency Program 2026. The program aims to promote international exchange and advance research on NTMoFA’s collections by opening the Museum’s institutional and research resources to international artists, curators, art historians, critics, theorists, and museum professionals. NTMoFA particularly welcomes proposals engaging with its collections, Taiwanese art history, Taiwanese artists, and Technology Art. The residency takes place from September 3 to October 22, 2026, for a duration of 30 to 50 days. Selected residents receive airfare, a daily allowance (up to NTD 8,915), studio space, and library access. Residents are required to organize public programs and submit a final report.
One round-trip economy airfare, local airport-to-museum transport, insurance reimbursement up to NTD 5,000, daily residency allowance (NTD 5,350 to 8,915 depending on status), free studio space, and Art Library access.
Applicants must be non-Republic of China (Taiwan) nationals, not currently students, and have at least five years of relevant professional experience. They must demonstrate familiarity with NTMoFA and Taiwanese art and have basic communication skills in English or Chinese.
Submit the application online via the NTMoFA official website during the application period from March 16 to March 31, 2026. Required documents include a personal statement, CV, and a residency proposal of up to 1,000 English words.
