About the Open Call

NORMGROUND 2026 is the third edition of a dedicated skills development programme designed for performance artists. Led by Artistic Director Botis Seva and company members, the intensive focuses on process and creative interrogation without the pressure of outcomes. It addresses the gap in training for street dance artists, providing tools to navigate the professional industry. The UK edition is presented in collaboration with Lowry.

What is Offered

All successful participants will be awarded a £1500 bursary for participation in the programme.

Requirements

Artists must be 18+ and based in the UK or Europe. Applicants should have a minimum of 2 years of evidenced practice (battling, commercial, film, or live performance). The program prioritizes artists who did not attend formal dance training and requires full availability for auditions (May 2026) and program blocks (July/August 2026).
