About the Open Call

Now in its fourth year, the New Writers Collective provides an extended programme for 10 selected writers. Benefits include a free pass and accommodation for the 2026 Edinburgh TV Festival, free access to TV Foundation events for a year, a free pass to the 2027 Edinburgh TV Festival, free priority access to the screenwriting event First Draft in March 2026, industry guidance from executives at All3Media, and access to a supportive community of peers and an alumni network. The opportunity is ideal for aspiring writers seeking their first paid TV writing experience or representation, and who wish to form invaluable industry connections.
