About the Open Call

The New Theatre Institute of Latvia, as part of the Magic Carpets platform, invites international contemporary dance artists to apply for a residency in Riga. The project focuses on making contemporary dance accessible to visually impaired communities through workshops and collaboration with local dance professionals. The residency includes mentoring, community engagement, and a final public event highlighting inclusive dance practices. artist will be paid a fee of 1200€ .

What is Offered

Artist fee of €1200 (gross), covered travel and accommodation, mentorship, and facilitation by the residency team.

Requirements

Applicants must be international contemporary dance artists with an interest or experience in working with visually impaired individuals and social inclusion. Must be open to collaboration with local communities and professionals.
