About the Open Call

Curated by Chloë Dowsett, this project explores artistic autonomy by celebrating what cannot be searched or generated through artificial progression. The curator seeks work that consecutively changes through chance, impulse, making, and interaction, embracing the 'present' focus of the Fluxus movement. The call is open to all media, including digital media that utilizes an organic-led process, and encourages work to be made within the exhibition space.

What is Offered

Inclusion in the Fringe Arts Bath Festival 2026, taking place from May 22 to June 6, 2026.

Requirements

Open to artists of any age and status worldwide. Selected artists are asked to contribute £25 toward the festival and volunteer some of their time.

How to Apply

To submit, email the curator at new@fringeartsbath.co.uk with the exhibition name in the title. Include a maximum of 200 words about the work (written, audio, or video), images of the work or links to video/performance, and any relevant professional links.
