About the Open Call
The New Media Film Festival® is a launchpad for creators who break molds and remix formats. Since 2009, it has been a pioneer in showcasing emerging technology in storytelling, being the first to program AI films, holographic comics, and blockchain-based content. The festival accepts work in all genres and formats, including vertical storytelling, gaming, and 360/VR. Judges include industry professionals from HBO, Marvel, PBS, and the BBC. Participants retain full ownership of their intellectual property.
What is Offered
Grand Prize includes meetings with HBO or Marvel, studio time in Los Angeles, production services from Mongo Media Solutions, and a Filmustage subscription. Category winners receive a hand-painted wood film slate and software subscriptions.
Requirements
Open to creators of all levels from novice to professional. All genres and formats are accepted, including online, distributed, experimental, and classic works. All intellectual property remains with the creator.
