About the Open Call

The Delaplaine’s National Juried Exhibition is an annual show featuring works in a variety of media by artists from around the region and nation. All media are eligible, including but not limited to: painting, printmaking, photography, ceramics, drawing, installation, and sculpture. The 2026 juror is Kyle Hackett, Assistant Professor of Art at American University.

What is Offered

First Place: $1,000; Second Place: $500; Third Place: $250; Honorable Mention: $125. Inclusion in a physical exhibition from May 2 to July 12, 2026.

Requirements

Open to artists from around the region and nation. Three submissions per artist will be accepted. Selected artworks must be delivered between April 17–24, 2026.

How to Apply

Artists must enter their artwork through the online portal on the call for entry platform. To enter, artists must create an account on the platform and may submit up to three works.
