NARS Foundation: International Residency Program

About the Open Call

The New York Art Residency & Studios (NARS) Foundation Artist Residency Program supports emerging and mid-career artists working across all disciplines. The program creates a shared space for artistic dialogue and international cultural exchange. Studios are for work only; housing is not provided. Artists are responsible for their own visa arrangements, travel, and living expenses. International applicants can apply for three, six, or twelve-month residency seasons.

What is Offered

Work-only studio space, participation in a community of international artists, and support letters for visa applications upon request.

Requirements

Open to international emerging and mid-career artists working in any discipline. Applicants must be proficient in English and are responsible for program fees (e.g., $9,900 for three months in 2026), travel, health insurance, and accommodation.

How to Apply

Internationally based artists may apply at any time using the rolling application link on Submittable. Applications are reviewed and decisions are sent within 3-4 weeks after submission. Artists can also apply during bi-annual open calls.
