About the Open Call

The City of Moscow and the Moscow Arts Commission invite artists to submit qualifications for a three-dimensional artwork to be installed at the Moscow Police Station. The project centers on the theme of 'End of Watch' and the legacy of service, specifically commemorating the 20th anniversary of a significant local incident. The artwork must be at least 14 feet tall, made of durable materials for exterior year-round conditions, and representational in style. The selection process consists of two rounds, with three finalists chosen from Round #1 to develop site-specific proposals.

What is Offered

An artist honorarium not to exceed $85,000 for the final commission, which includes all costs. Three finalists will receive a $1,000 honorarium for design and travel expenses.

Requirements

Artists must be 18 years or older and reside in the United States. Preference is given to artists from Latah County, Nez Perce County, tribal members of the Nez Perce or Coeur d’Alene, or those with a significant Idaho economic presence. Past experience with large-scale public art is required.

How to Apply
