Oak Park Art League
Abstract art takes many forms, from formal geometric simplicity to expressionism, using traditional materials or found assembled objects. The unifying theme for this diverse category is the desire to delve deeper than surface appearances. Artists are invited to submit their abstract explorations, whether inspired by quantum physics, metaphysics, spirituality, formal design, or other concepts, for this national juried exhibition. The exhibition will be juried by Sheri Rush, a Chicago-based painter and sculptor known for her process-driven work exploring the intersection of identity, landscape, and recollection. Submissions can include various media such as painting, drawing, collage, fiber, found-object assemblages, mixed media, and sculpture, excluding AI-generated work. Video submissions are also accepted.
