About the Open Call

The 3rd edition of MOIFF accepts feature films (60-500 mins) and short films (1-59 mins) across fiction, documentary, animation, and experimental categories. The mission is to support independent cinema worldwide. Selected films will be screened online in dedicated festival rooms. All non-English films must include English subtitles. Directors must be at least 18 years old.

What is Offered

Awards include the Great Moonlight Award (1500 SEK + Physical Trophy), Special Moonlight Jury Prize (1000 SEK + Diploma), and Outstanding Film Creation Award (1000 SEK + Diploma). Potential for film sale or distribution deal proposals. Participation laurels and certificates are provided.

Requirements

Directors and submitters must be at least 18 years old. Films must be in English or have burnt-in English subtitles. Selected films must provide an H264/.mp4 screening copy, poster, logline, synopsis, and crew/cast lists. Entry fees must be paid for consideration.

How to Apply

Submit films through the official festival website or via the Festhome platform. Entry fees vary by deadline and film length, starting at 5 EUR for short films during the early deadline.
