About the Open Call
The Michigan Artists Retreat, facilitated by Maggie Bandstra, offers an immersive four-day, three-night experience at the Ox-Bow School of Art & Artists’ Residency. Designed for Michigan-based artists, the retreat aims to foster connection and community, allowing participants to embrace the landscape and draw inspiration from the surroundings and each other. Artists are encouraged to bring one completed piece and other works-in-progress, along with necessary materials, for shared discussion and individual studio practice. The cost of $600 per person covers lodging, studio space, and three daily meals. Private studios are available for an additional $175.

Requirements
The retreat is for Michigan artists. Participants are invited to bring one completed piece of artwork and other pieces they would like to work on during the weekend, along with any necessary materials.
