Atlantic Center for the Arts
The Mentoring Artist-in-Residence (MAIR) program provides a unique environment for artists of all disciplines to work with master artists such as Megan Conley, John Heginbotham, Greg Corbino, Charlie Hailey, Carlton Turner, Nestor Torres, Will Cotton, Hannah Drake, and Dani Howard. The program focuses on interdisciplinary collaboration, professional development, and community engagement, often centered around themes like ecology, climate artivism, and storytelling.
Three-week residency, mentorship from master artists, collaborative environment, and access to campus facilities. Generous scholarships are available that can significantly reduce residency fees.
Vary by mentoring artist; generally requires professional experience in the specified medium, a portfolio of work, and a commitment to the three-week collaborative process.
Interested artists must apply as Associate Artists via the Atlantic Center for the Arts Submittable page. Application requirements vary by master artist but typically include a bio, resumé/CV, a statement of intent or goals for the residency, and digital work samples such as images, audio files, or video links.
