About the Open Call

This Request for Qualifications (RFQ) invites artists and artist teams to submit their credentials for a public art commission. The project involves creating a memorial dedicated to the fallen. Applicants must provide a statement of interest, a professional resume or CV, two professional references, and a portfolio consisting of ten images of previous work with detailed descriptions.

Requirements

Artists must be over 18 years old. Submissions must include a statement of interest (1 page max), a professional resume (3 pages max per artist), two professional references from previous commissions, and a portfolio of 10 images of relevant prior artwork. Artist teams are eligible.

How to Apply

Applications must be submitted through the online form provided by the City of Manhattan Beach. Required uploads include a Statement of Interest (PDF), Resume or CV (PDF), References (PDF), and a Portfolio (PDF/JPEG) containing ten images and descriptions.
