About the Open Call

Melbourne UNESCO City of Literature is offering a virtual writer in residence opportunity for writers from other UNESCO Cities of Literature. Residents will work with one of several host organizations, such as Blak & Bright, Geelong Regional Libraries, Going Down Swinging, Melbourne Writers' Theatre, Myli-My Community Library, Signal, Society of Women Writers Victoria, Sticky Institute, Story Studios Australia, and Writers Victoria. The residency involves creating content, which can include workshops, written pieces, appearances/panels, or social media takeovers, and offers opportunities for meetings and connections within Melbourne's literary scene.
