Male Dancers Callout for POPPY

About the Open Call

Eliot Smith Dance (ESD) is seeking two male-identifying, professional, freelance dancers based in the United Kingdom to join the company for the recreation and tour of POPPY, a contemporary dance work by Eliot Smith originally created in 2018. The project timeline is as follows: Rehearsals & Premiere from October – November 2025, and a North East Tour (including Tunbridge Wells) from February – March 2026. Specific rehearsal dates at Alnwick Playhouse, Northumberland are week commencing 20 October, 27 October, and 03 November 2025, with a performance on 09 November at Alnwick Playhouse. Rehearsals for the tour are 09, 10, 11 February 2026 at Alnwick Playhouse, followed by performances on 12 February (Hexham), 14 February (Warkworth), 18 February (Newbiggin), 19 February (Newcastle), 28 February (Spennymoor), and 07 March (Tunbridge Wells). Dancers will be paid at ITC rates, and travel and accommodation will be provided where necessary during rehearsal and tour periods.

What is Offered

Paid at ITC rates. Additional rehearsal or workshop delivery dates will be negotiated in advance. Travel and accommodation, where necessary, will be provided during rehearsal and tour periods.
