About the Open Call

The fourth annual Mad World exhibition understands environmental collapse not as a distant abstract condition, but as something shaped by systems of power: colonialism, borders, racial capitalism, and extractive industry. The theme is informed by intersectional environmentalism, rooted in the work of Black feminist scholars and organizers, and seeks practices that foreground Indigenous, diasporic, queer, and culturally inherited knowledge systems.

What is Offered

Selected film makers and visual artists receive a $150 participation fee; performers receive a $300 fee. All selected participants receive two complimentary event tickets. Art sales are split 60% to the artist and 40% to the gallery.

Requirements

Submissions must be original, finished works ready for display or performance. Experimental short films must be under 15 minutes. Performers must provide audio/video samples and technical/lighting requirements.
