About the Open Call

The Artist-in-Residence (AIR) program welcomes creators every other year to develop projects in a school setting. For the 2026-2027 cycle, LFC is specifically interested in artists exploring textile/fiber arts or ceramics. The residency lasts 4 to 12 weeks and must involve the entire school community. The resulting artwork becomes part of the LFC collection and is showcased in a public exhibition.

What is Offered

A total stipend of $15,000 to cover housing, airfare, materials, and supplies. Work space is provided during school hours, along with local networking support.

Requirements

Must be a working professional; speak French and/or English; have previous experience in a school setting (preferred); and clear a background check. Projects must involve students from pre-K to Grade 12.
