About the Open Call

Structured around three thematic axes—Global Histories of Museums and Collections, Circulations of Styles, Images, and Texts, and Precious Materials and Routes of Exchange—the program engages with key areas of art historical scholarship. The initiative draws on the museum’s research facilities, including the Resource Center, Library, Conservation Center, and Scientific Laboratory (the first of its kind in the Gulf region). It aims to foster research collaborations through short- and long-term grants, hosting symposiums, workshops, and publications.

What is Offered

Short- and long-term research grants, access to the Resource Center, Library, Conservation Center, and Scientific Laboratory, and opportunities for publication and participation in symposiums.

Requirements

The program is open to scholars and museum professionals. Research must align with the museum's thematic axes: Global Histories of Museums and Collections; Circulations of Styles, Images, and Texts; or Precious Materials and Routes of Exchange.

How to Apply
