Lore Degenstein Gallery
This is the Lore Degenstein Gallery's 16th Annual Figurative Art Exhibition, a juried visual art competition and exhibition. It is open to two-dimensional figurative artists who are over the age of 18, working in painting, drawing, printmaking, or fiber. The exhibition dates are Saturday, October 25 to Sunday, December 7, 2025. This year's juror is Yvonne Petkus. Submissions will be juried from digital media, requiring high-quality images. All works entered must have been created within the last five years (no earlier than 2020). Accepted works must be framed or ready to hang and can be shipped or hand-delivered. Artists are responsible for two-way shipping. Timeline: Application deadline August 17, 2025; Notifications email Sept. 1–5; Deadline for received works October 10; Exhibition Opening and Award Presentation October 25; Exhibition ends December 7; Return of works starts December 10.
The exhibition offers prize money including Best of Show ($2,000), Second Prize ($1,500), Third Prize ($1,000), Fourth Prize ($750), and Fifth Prize ($500). The Lore Degenstein Gallery will provide insurance for artwork during the exhibition. All sales inquiries will be referred directly to the artists, and the Gallery will take no commission on sales.
Open to two-dimensional figurative artists (referencing the human figure) over the age of 18, working in painting, drawing, printmaking, or fiber. Eligibility is national. Works must have been created within the last five (5) years (no earlier than 2020). Digital submissions are required, with images 300 dpi JPEG files, no smaller than 5” x 7”. Accepted works must be framed or otherwise ready to hang.
Artists may submit up to three (3) works for a non-refundable fee of $25. Images should be 300 dpi JPEG files, no smaller than 5” x 7” in scale. Submitted works must have been created within the last five (5) years (no earlier than 2020). All materials should be mailed to Lore Degenstein Gallery, Susquehanna University, 1858 Weber Way, Selinsgrove, PA 17870. Artists are responsible for shipping their work both ways and must include a pre-paid (ready-to-use) label for return shipping in the package or send it via email.
