London Contemporary Dance School
Frame Rush 2026 is a celebration of global diversity in movement on film, intending to create a meeting point for negotiation on screendance. The festival explores how the convergence of screen, composition, dance, and sound intersect with subject matter such as political commentary, social advocacy, and environmental preservation. Artists are invited to submit intentional screendance films ranging from abstract to narrative. The event includes a live sharing of works in central London. Underrepresented makers worldwide are strongly encouraged to apply.
Selected artists will receive a fee for screening their work. The event includes a live screening at The Place in London and potential inclusion in the London Contemporary Dance School archive.
Films must be between 1-15 minutes including titles and credits. Production date must be after January 2023. Recordings of dance performances are not accepted unless used as a cinematic narrative device. Films with dialogue must have English subtitles. Selected artists must provide marketing materials and video files (QuickTime, full HD 16x9 H.264 or Apple ProRes 4:2:2 HQ) by given deadlines.
Submit via the FilmFreeway platform at the provided URL. Artists experiencing financial hardship can request a fee waiver by emailing frame.rush@lcds.ac.uk with 'Fee waiver' in the subject line, including their name and film title.
