About the Open Call

The Municipality of Fafe is relaunching the A. Lopes de Oliveira / Câmara Municipal de Fafe Literary Prize. The award aims to encourage the publication of works that deepen the knowledge of Portuguese localities and regions, reinforcing the appreciation of regional and local identity. The prize is divided into two categories: studies dedicated to Fafe and studies dedicated to other localities or regions of the country.

What is Offered

A total prize value of 2,000 euros, divided between the two winning categories.

Requirements

Portuguese or foreign authors can apply with works published in book format during the years 2025 and 2026, within the historical-social genre defined by the regulations.

How to Apply

Each contestant must send five copies of the work, addressed to the Councilor for Culture of the Câmara Municipal de Fafe. The regulation is available on the Municipality of Fafe website.
