LIC-A (Long Island City Artists)
For the January 'Light Show' exhibition, the gallery will be entirely darkened, and the artworks will serve as the only sources of illumination. Through video installation, digital media, and light-based practices, the exhibition investigates how light can function as a conceptual and spatial tool. Projects may explore themes such as visibility, exposure, screens, code, temporality, sensory experience, or the material behavior of light itself. Photography using light painting is also accepted and will be spotlit.
Exhibition opportunity where artists keep 100% of their sales revenue; the gallery takes no commission.
Open to video installation, digital/computational art, light-based media (LED, neon, projection, etc.), and light-painting photography. All installation-based work requires the artist to be present for installation. No shipped work is accepted.
Applications must be submitted through the online Jotform. Artists are required to provide payment app information (Zelle, Venmo, PayPal, or CashApp) for direct payment from buyers.
