About the Open Call

The 'Light & Shadow' international art contest invites artists of all mediums and styles to submit works inspired by the theme 'Light & Shadow' – each participant decides how to complete the phrase. The jury will review entries within one week after the January 18, 2026 deadline, with results announced on January 26, 2026. Evaluation criteria include originality, quality of execution, and relevance to the theme. Submissions must be original creations and not infringe on copyrights. Artists grant Curatone.art the right to use submitted images for promotional purposes, while retaining full ownership and copyright of their work.

What is Offered

The Grand Prize winner will receive a cash prize of $100. All finalists and the winner will receive official diplomas. Participants will also receive an extract from the contest protocol with jury evaluations.

Requirements

Open to artists of all mediums and styles. Maximum of 3 artworks per author. Submitted artworks must be original creations and not infringe on any copyrights. Image requirements: JPEG format, not exceeding 4MB, clear and in focus.

How to Apply

Artists can apply by submitting up to three artworks through the competition platform. An application fee of $22 (or $15 early bird until January 10, 2025) is required.
