LIAF 2025 Open Call for Entries

About the Open Call

The London International Animation Festival (LIAF) is one of the largest animation festivals in the world, usually screening around 300 films each year across competitive, student, curated, and retrospective programmes. Submissions are also automatically considered for a smaller touring programme around the UK. To be eligible for LIAF 2025, films must have been completed AFTER 1 January 2024. Entries must be provided in a viewable format (Vimeo/YouTube link or file via WeTransfer/DropBox). Pre-selection decisions are made by the Festival Director, relevant advisors, and a pre-selection committee. The selection process will be completed by September 2025. Selected films will receive a formal invitation, and unsuccessful films will be notified via email. The Festival Director retains sole discretion over screening order and programme placement. All submission materials will be archived by LIAF for future reference. Selected films agree to the use of their material for promotional purposes, including still images for programme listings, social media, press releases, and up to 3% or 20 seconds (whichever is lesser) of film for trailers and digital promotions.

Films can be entered via FilmFreeway at https://filmfreeway.com/LondonInternationalAnimationFestival. Alternatively, download an entry form from the LIAF website, email it to info@liaf.org.uk, and pay the administrative fee via PayPal to info@liaf.org.uk.
