About the Open Call

Inspired by Brandon LaBelle’s notion of the 'sonic agent', this residency explores how sound practice can generate positionality, criticality, and reflections. Three artists will be hosted to create sound pieces that will be presented in public events in Kintai and Vilnius, with subsequent performances in Estonia and Latvia. The residency focuses on live electronics, mixed music, experimental performance, and acousmatic music. Selected works will also be digitally released on the Music Information Centre Lithuania label.

What is Offered

800 EUR artist fee (VAT excl.), covered accommodation and food expenses, travel allowance of up to 200 EUR, and coverage of travel/accommodation for tour events in Latvia and Estonia.

Requirements

Applicants must be professional artists from or residing in the Baltic states (Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia) actively working in sound art or experimental music. Proficiency in English is required.
