The Elizabeth Foundation for the Arts
Studio Immersion Project (SIP) is an intense fellowship designed to introduce artists from multiple disciplines to printmaking. SIP invites artists seeking creative exploration through printmaking, regardless of expertise, to apply their creative knowledge and conceptual goals to the print medium. Selected artists are each provided access (February - April) to a community and professional printmaking workspace, a monthly stipend, a materials stipend, three printmaking workshops, and assistance from EFA RBPMW staff and monitors. SIP has little or no out of pocket expenditures for artists while maximizing technical assistance in EFA RBPMW’s fully stocked and equipped intaglio, relief, lithography, and digital media workspace. The fellowship includes a 1-year EFA RBPMW membership, unlimited EFA RBPMW studio access during workshop hours, a monthly stipend, a materials stipend, a 6-session SIP Orientation Program (covering in-depth studio orientation, basic intaglio, lithography, screenprinting, relief and monotype techniques), 3 EFA RBPMW classes, and a group exhibition the summer after fellowship year. It also offers material & supply storage and access to exhibition and portfolio exchange opportunities through EFA RBPMW membership.
