Island Connect
Island Connect II (2024-2026) is a collaborative program funded by Creative Europe between seven performing arts organizations. The project offers three distinct open calls for 2026: Artistic Residency Exchange, Co-Creation Residency, and Islander Focus Residency. It aims to support artists in their professional development through fully-funded two-week residencies, professional development workshops (SpringLab), and networking opportunities. The program focuses on artistic research, experimentation, and engagement with local island communities.
Selected artists receive fees ranging from €600 to €2400, daily per diems of €30 to €50, covered travel expenses, and provided accommodation and workspace.
Open to artists based in Denmark, Croatia, Ireland, the Balearic Islands, Corsica, Sardinia, the Canary Islands, Madeira, Sweden, or Finland. Applicants must be available for the full duration of residencies and the SpringLab workshop, be willing to communicate in English, and hold a work-in-progress presentation.
Applicants must fill out the online form on the official website including a description of the artistic research (max 1 page), a detailed CV or biography per person, and a motivation letter in written (max 500 words) or video form (max 3 minutes).
