IRB Barcelona's Artist in Residency Programme connects artists with interdisciplinary science, providing access to research, scientists, data, and infrastructure. Artists immerse themselves in the IRB Barcelona community to explore cutting-edge biomedical research and exchange ideas. The residency focuses on a specific theme involving interactions with researchers, requiring the creation of artwork to be exhibited within one year following the residency.

What is Offered

A paid residency, full IRB Barcelona member status, direct access to scientists and core facility staff, access to lab-generated data and images, access to scientific lectures and workshops, and visibility through the institute's communication channels.

Requirements

The call is open to professional artists from any discipline with a genuine interest in science. Proposals must focus on a specific theme involving interactions with IRB Barcelona researchers in the life sciences.
