About the Open Call

Into the Meridian: The New West Vanguard exhibition explores the works of artists who ground their practice West of the 100th meridian, investigating the contemporary Western experience. The show invites artists to challenge and redefine traditional concepts of the American West. Selected artists will be exhibited at Weems Gallery from June 12th to July 11th, 2026, and one artist will be awarded a $2,500 prize.

Requirements

Artists must have an emerging professional practice with at least 3 years of active exhibitions and must be born in 1986 or later. Submission requires up to 5 artworks and a 300-word statement.
