About the Open Call

Located on the unceded territory of the Sc’ianew First Nations, this residency provides artists of all media a space to create, plan, and collaborate. The facility includes a large multimedia studio space with high ceilings, a specialized textile and tapestry area with a LeClerc loom, and outdoor work areas. Residents can choose between the Studio Suite or the View Suite, both offering high-speed internet and access to property amenities like a hot tub and infrared sauna. The residency is designed for solo artists but can accommodate collaborative groups.

What is Offered

Access to a 1,000 sq ft studio, textile equipment (loom, sewing machines), private or shared accommodation, high-speed internet, shared kitchen facilities, hot tub, sauna, and an official offer letter for funding applications.

Requirements

Open to solo artists or collaborative groups. Residents are responsible for residency fees ($1600 CAD per 4 weeks) and their own materials, though some local wool and tools are provided. A signed artist agreement and deposit are required upon acceptance.

How to Apply

Applicants must complete the Google intake form. Following this, an online meeting via Google Meet or WhatsApp will be arranged to discuss goals and timing. Upon acceptance, an artist agreement is drafted, and a non-refundable $100 deposit is required to secure the spot.
