InShadow
The 18th edition of InShadow – Lisbon ScreenDance Festival promotes an encounter between video/cinema and dance/performance, exploring cine-choreographic thinking and innovative processes. The festival features international competitions in Videodance, Dance Documentary, and Dance Animation, as well as a Photography Exhibition. The event includes competition sessions, video installations in partner galleries, and the Shadow in Motion touring extension.
Awards include cash prizes (Jorge Salavisa Award €500, Best Choreography €300, Best Videography €300, Luna Andermatt Award €400, Best National Director €3,000), training grants (ETIC Award €2,500), and artistic residencies (AAC-Soudos Creation Grant).
Works must focus on the relationship between cinema and dance. Videodance (preferably < 20 min), Documentary (preferably < 90 min), Animation (target audience 5-15 years, preferably < 7 min). Photography submissions must be original works focusing on body movement and shadow.
