About the Open Call
SaveArtSpace and ComposingDetroit present In|Divisible, a public art exhibition on ad spaces in Detroit. The exhibition utilizes photography as its primary medium, paired with subtle graphic and textual interventions, to explore the tension between separation and wholeness. The vertical bar in the title represents the connector and divider between these concepts. Selected works will be distributed across multiple public sites to reflect shared systems of unity and division.
What is Offered
Selected artists will have their work placed on public ad spaces or billboards in Detroit, MI, for at least one month starting April 3, 2026.
Requirements
Artists of all ages and talents are invited to submit work. The exhibition primarily features photography that interprets the theme of unity (e.g., bridges, patterns, symmetry) and division (e.g., barriers, contrast, isolation). Abstract and conceptual works are also welcome.
