IDFA Bertha Fund
The IBF Europe – Minority Co-Production scheme provides funding for projects at any stage of production, with priority given to late-stage projects that have confirmed financing and delivery plans. The fund encourages collaborations that promote international co-productions while fostering diverse storytelling and global documentary voices. Selected projects have previously included titles such as Do You Love Me, No Other Land, and Farming the Revolution.
Maximum contribution of €40,000 per project for production and post-production costs. Producer’s fee limited to 7.5% of the grant.
Applicants must be European co-producers from MEDIA sub-programme countries. Projects must involve at least two countries (one MEDIA, one on IBF Europe Country List). Applicant must hold at least a 20% share but remain a minority partner. Total budget must not exceed €600,000.
