Hopkins Center for the Arts
Hopkins ArtStreet is a select, juried public art display centered on charming, historic Mainstreet in Hopkins, MN. Artists working in all outdoor-tolerant media are invited to apply. Accepted artwork is displayed for approximately one year (May to May). The goal of the project is to present permanent and rotating original public art that celebrates Hopkins' vital and diverse community in an accessible setting. Sites in the exhibition area include concrete slabs, pedestals, and a brick wall. Larger works (greater than 4 feet) and interactive, reflective, or kinetic pieces are encouraged.
$1,000 stipend for transportation and travel expenses; $1,000 Judges' Award; $300 People's Choice Award; $300 Children's Choice Award; active marketing for sales with a 30% commission.
Artwork must be original, durable for year-long outdoor exposure, and at least 18 inches tall. Works must pose no hazard to the public and be appropriate for family audiences. Artists are responsible for insurance and must be present during the installation in May 2026.
Artists must apply through the CaFÉ website. Each entry requires 3 images of a single artwork. The fee is $25 for the first entry and $5 for each additional entry (up to 5 total) using the coupon code 'addapp26'.
