About the Open Call

Artists are invited to submit original functional artwork for the Home Improvement exhibition at the Kavanagh Gallery. All forms of media are welcome, including ceramics, glass, textiles, furniture, and books, provided they serve a practical purpose. This regional show is open to artists from 12 specific U.S. states. Work must be for sale, and selected artists will participate in a physical exhibition with a 30% sales commission.

What is Offered

$800 in prizes will be awarded. Selected works will be exhibited, and the gallery handles sales with a 70% return to the artist.

Requirements

Open to artists 18 and older residing in Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, South Dakota, or Wisconsin. All artwork must be original, functional, and for sale. Up to 3 pieces may be submitted.

How to Apply

Submit applications through the CaFÉ website, including up to three images (one per piece) and an artist statement limited to 1000 characters.
