About the Open Call

The National Portrait Gallery invites submissions via its digital platform for the Herbert Smith Freehills Kramer Portrait Award 2026. Artists are required to upload their image via the website for an initial judging round. Successful entrants will be invited to deliver their physical work to a venue in London for the final round of physical judging.
